Education

An important component of AHEPA’s mission is to create an awareness of the principles of Hellenism to society.

Philanthropy

Philanthropy and volunteerism have been pillars of strength for AHEPA.

Civic Responsibility

Our grassroots has a strong voice. With chapters across the nation, AHEPA communicates the positions of the Greek-American community to elected representatives.

Family & Individual Excellence

What makes AHEPA unique from other organizations is the creation of the AHEPA Family. Together with three affiliated organizations, the AHEPA Family works as a unit toward the fulfillment of a common mission.

About the Order of AHEPA

Ramapo Chapter 453 was founded in 1974. The Chapter works to fulfill its mission statement of enhancing education, philanthropy, and promoting Hellenism with annual events. With its 134 members, it is currently the 3rd largest chapter in the district.

Education

Our Chapter has been committed to promoting education within our community. We have awarded scholarships annually since as long as members can recall. In 2014, our Chapter created the Tom Pappas Memorial Scholarship Award with annual scholarships awarded to eligible high school and/or college students. The Chapter also holds beginner and intermediate level Greek language classes. We also sponsor our church’s Lenten Lecture series.
